There are many different ways to set up a network. Depending on the size and materials of your building you may need servers, fiber-optics, cable, managed or unmanaged wireless access points or a combination of all of the above.
At RCI, we are prepared to to follow your network plan or create one for you.
For a larger installation featuring a combined warehouse and office environment we may run a fiber-optic backbone to connect the data closets to one another. From the data closets we would connect several endpoints including wireless access points which the factory would use to connect their hand-held devices.
For a smaller office, we can often simply run cables from one data closet to various points within the building. The computers might connect to a server that holds software and/or a database that is needed company wide.
RCI has the experience to install your computers, servers and data networks. When it comes to setting up your own computer network things can get complicated fast. Let RCI do the work for you.
RCI has all the experience necessary to set you up with a high functioning computer network. We make sure to provide you with the right switches, routers and other equipment to have the quality of service that you need. RCI sets up computer networks and servers throughout Roanoke, the New River Valley, the surrounding areas and throughout Virginia. RCI custom designs servers for the specific clients' needs. There are many different needs a server can meet.
Web Server – If you run your website in house, you need a machine that's up the job for high throughput applications.
Remote SFTP Server – Some companies have employees that work from home but still need access to company files. They need a server that allows employees to use the files but keeps others out. In this situation a secure server using multiple factor authentication is paramount.
Either of the above servers could be a custom server but there are nearly infinite uses for a server. Just tell RCI what you need and we'll do the rest.
